How do you feel the proposed credit card legislation will hurt people who are responsible, who pay in full?

I am one of those "good" credit card users. I charge everything to earn rewards and then pay off my balances every month to avoid paying interest. The new legislation will eliminate this kind of "free ride". To make up for lost revenue, the credit card companies will have to be more selective with offering credit, charge more annual fees, and shorten or eliminate the "grace period", which allows people who pay the balance in full by the due date to pay no interest.

Honestly, I don't think that the credit card companies have done anything dishonest as far as billing practices. If people actually read their cardholder agreements, they would realize that everything is there in black and white. The credit card company is obviously out to make money, but they can only do that if you let them (making late payments, going over your credit card limit, etc).

Overall, I think these regulations will decrease the availability of credit, which will significantly hinder economic recovery. How do you feel the proposed credit card legislation will hurt people who are responsible, who pay in full?Credit cards will be harder to get. Also lenders will not be as willing to raise high credit limit. When a person is 30 days late, why shouldn't they pay higher interest. People who are never late shouldn't have to pay penalties for other peoples missuse. How do you feel the proposed credit card legislation will hurt people who are responsible, who pay in full?My credit cards are paid off and i dont plan on using them anytime soon. so it wont hurt me.
