What is the legislation which applies to road traffic accidents in the UK?

I would be very grateful if anyone could provide an answer or a link. ThanksWhat is the legislation which applies to road traffic accidents in the UK?The main statutes governing the law on road traffic are The Road Traffic Act 1988, The Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 and The Road Traffic (Consequential Provisions) Act 1988. These Acts have been amended and extended by The Road Traffic Act 1991 and The Road Safety Act 2006.
