A friend of mine mentioned that her two young boys couldn't wait to go to Detroit so they could see (real) Transformers. After a chuckle, I got to thinking, why shouldn't Detroit capitalize on the fact that both the cartoon and live action films are based in Detroit and build some sort of Transformers "attraction"?
Bonus Questions - What were some identifiably Detroit scenes in the movie that she could point out while they're in Detroit that her boys would recognize?Do you think Detroit could capitalize on Transformers?Maybe not just on those movies, but a tour based on locations used in all the movies shot in Detroit could be interesting.Do you think Detroit could capitalize on Transformers?Well, the problem with that idea is that it would be a short lived attraction. I think something exciting could be done with Transformers. But I see some issues:
1 It's basically a boy thing, not girls and not adults for the most part. That would dramatically cut the interest and attendance.
2 It would need media support - like a Transformer movie coming out every other year.
3 to do it well it would be costly.
Maybe it could be done as a traveling attraction - like monster truck shows, but that wouldn't help Detroit much.Do you think Detroit could capitalize on Transformers?you can see
