Transformers 3 question: Why didn't the autobots want Cybertron back in DOTM?

I saw Transformers 3 yesterday and I don't understand why the autobots didnt want cybertron to be back. They actually helped to destroy it.Transformers 3 question: Why didn't the autobots want Cybertron back in DOTM?The idea of bringing Cybertron to Earth stemmed from one of the earlier Transformers cartoons. With an additional mass in space with its own gravity well, it would cause a lot of damage to Earth. The Autobots certainly wanted Cybertron and wanted to be home, but they did not to have Earth pay the price. And Cybertron wasn't destroyed. It was simply sent back through the Space Bridge back to its originating galaxy.Transformers 3 question: Why didn't the autobots want Cybertron back in DOTM?There are many reasons why, and not all of them are very good. The main reason is because the Autobots consider Earth their new home, and even if they didn't, they wouldn't really want to live on Cyberton, since Cyberton has long since been abandoned and is virtually a dead-world that has been reaped of all it's natural resources. The second reason is plot device.
