I have never seen this movie.Is the movie transformers appropiate for my 7 year old son?Transformers, what a great movie! Here is my take on it. My son is 8, and kept asking me to watch the movie. His mom and I went to the movie to pre-screen it, and I found it to be ok, but my wife said it was too violent. The movie is PG-13, so be cautious. Now, my little secrete. When my wife was gone one day my son and I rented the movie and he was very excited, but near the end of the movie he turned to me and asked "Dad, what happened to the guy the scorpion attacked in the desert?". Did he die? I was shocked! Never did I think he would say something like that. I played it off by telling him the guy did not die, and that he was at the end of the movie, but he said no dad; the guy with the glasses?



To make a long story short, be cautious. Young minds are not ready for some of the violence in this movie, and to tell you the truth I should have listened to my wife........Is the movie transformers appropiate for my 7 year old son?
It depends on your moral issues. It does have multiple sexual references, such as one of the autobots saying he can detect that shia wants to "mate" with the female human. Also, there is violence and some scary moments. Essentially, read the ratings on the box to find out why it got the rating it received. Transformers was made for adults, specifically twenty-somethings who grew up with Transformers in the 80s and 90s. Many parts of it will be boring or go over a 7-year-old's head.



If he's they type who can sit through periods of inaction (for some reason they actually included character development) then it depends on how well he does with violence.



If he (and you!) are OK with movies like Star Wars and Harry Potter, then he should be OK, the violence isn't any worse than those movies. If he's more sensitive to violent movies and semi-scary things jumping out at people, then it might not be the best movie for a 7-year-old.



My boys would have loved it at that age.
If you have never seen it, then you need to watch it and then decide. My opinion is that it probably is. But you may have different guidelines than me or anyone else on this board.



Dont ever blindly decide if something is appropriate for your children based on what others say. Watch the movie yourself and then decide.

Since everyone has different morals, I love it -- I don't have to rely on some group of people telling me what is or isn't good for me or my kids (in the future) to watch. My 7-yr-old boy and I saw it in the movies, and both really enjoyed it. It's pretty exciting, great graphics, etc. My boy gets nightmares easily (he didn't like Wallace %26amp; Gromit because it was scary!!), but he had no problem after this movie.Is the movie transformers appropiate for my 7 year old son?
yes. its really good. there is a little cussing. but its not the really bad ones
the newest one has mild cursing in it and kissing.But my 6 year cousin has seen it and he loves it!
