You do realize that Harry Potter has INUMERABLE amounts of adults that are FANS of the series and movies? So you're point is basically invalidated. I don't think it'd be too far fetched to say that Harry Potter might have slightly more adult fans than there are kids who are under 11. I think teenagers and 20 something year olds being the biggest amount of fans and with middle aged adults being the second. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but, HP6 will make more money than T2 not only because of the shear amount of fans HP has, but because the anticipation for the film has risen insanely high. Not to mention a lot of people actually hated T2 from what I'm reading on the internet. Well judging by all the thumbs down on the people dissing HP it looks like there are alot of fellow Harry Potter fans out there, and I'm just gonna say that I love the books, I've read 'em all and I'm sad that they have to end. One being that harry potter films/books are the best thing eva! two being that who would want to go see T2 and another being that Tom felton is amazing. another is that Rupert grint is amazing. another being Daniel Radcliffe is amazing. and a another being that Alan Rickman is amazing and ANOTHER being that who in the world would not go see HP6??

i saw transformers 2 and it was pretty good. i am also a harry potter fan and i have anticipated for HBP since it was moved from november to july and i think millions of other people have too. so i think that harry potter will do better because of all the anticipation, fan base, and its franchise.Transformers 2 or Harry Potter Half-Blood Prince, which one will gross more at the box office?Definitely Potter. Theres just a HUGE fan base.

We HP fans are crazy. I know that I'll be seeing it at least 5 times in theaters!!!!

Especially since Warner Brothers moved the date from November 21 to July 17 (now July 15), it just made me even more excited.

am not sure. However, I am sad to believe that T2 will gather more grossing due to the action pact scene sequence. I don't think that transformers fans have been waiting 4 years for the film, and it's adored by hundreds of thousands worldwide.

H.P.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL of the H.P. movies were #1 box offices and is WAYY better than Tranformers. And the H.P. movies can only get better!!! =)
I think there has been a greater build of anticipation for Harry Potter. Not to mention the franchise is far larger. I imagine that will be the dominator in regards to profits.
Definitely hp, it's developed a following over the years and is popular with all genders and ages but transformers is liked more by teenage guys and older. i like both of them though
HP because it's rated PG so all the little kids will see it too (and their parents). Transformers is really just aimed at the teenage crowd so HP will prob do better.

I think transformers because its opening weekend was 108 million which considering it opened on wednesday is amazing. and yes i know harry potter opens wednesday to. But also look at the past harry potters and none of them have grossed as much as transformers has. Transformers as of now has 228 mil (approx.) which is the 2nd most for 7 days just barely behind dark knight which I'm sure you know broke nearly every gross record out there.

TRANSFORMERS 2 Its more of a person who grew up with watching transformers when they were little like my older brother and me. harry Potter will come in second.
Well, I personally hate Harry Potter, but I feel that it will probably make more money, just because there are an insane amount of people who love it.
