Why do people overexaggerate about Transformers?

I mean I love this trilogy and don't really see anything wrong with it. It's entertaining, it's fun, and the third one had alot of emotion. So what is the problem? Movies are supposed to entertain right? It's ok to not like something, but come on give the guys who created it some credit for making something that we as audiences can't?Why do people overexaggerate about Transformers?I find that people nowadays find it 'cool' to criticize anything that they consider 'popular' or 'mainstream'. I don't know why this is but I think that you shouldn't give it too much thought, enjoy the things you like and ignore what others have to say. Sadly, people have difficulty appreciating other people's efforts. Why do people overexaggerate about Transformers?
Along with people who *are* just legitimate haters, there are people out there who dislike the movies for valid reasons.

For one, Michael Bay has become the quintessential director of Hollywood schlock, and the success of his movies (all flash, no substance) can be detrimental to getting studios to fund legitimately good movies. His movies almost always feature single-dimensional characters and tacked-on love stories which are almost insulting to watch. Plus, man...I dislike his action scenes. Uncreative and full of messy jumpy cuts (in many cases), and explosions acting as filler for legitimate action.

But...you know...some people just want a mindless popcorn movie every now and then, and for that, Michael Bay could be your go to guy. Others could do better with his budget though.

Plus, it's a small group I'm a part of, but I think Transformers was a dumb franchise to make a movie about anyway. It's a movie based on a cartoon series based on a line of Hasbro toys. Why do people overexaggerate about Transformers? How old are you? Were you a child of the 1980's? Did you read the comics? Just wondering because it's mainly the ppl that follow the cartoons/comic series that get p*ssed when hollywood ruins good stuff that could be creative and ruins it just to get some profit. Look at some other movies made from cartoons, comics, books, games, when ppl turn them into movies they change stuff around or just make it crap and un-origional. Very few movies stick with the original story. That and since it's supposed to be for kids, some ppl could have also thought it was too much. Why do people overexaggerate about Transformers?
well im not sure what overexaggeration you're talking about, buut here's my 2 cents in the movies. I did not like the 2nd movie. That thing had a horrible plot, and the transformers came out of nowhere at times. But that's it, huge fan of the transformers franchise. Why do people overexaggerate about Transformers? The same can be said for the Star Wars prequel trilogy, but that ain't gonna change the fans' minds about them
