How did Transformers: G1's animated series' Bumblebee turn into Goldbug?

I'd like to get the story straight and I am ever so confused on poor Bumbles... %26gt;//v//%26lt;How did Transformers: G1's animated series' Bumblebee turn into Goldbug?Bumblebee was injured by an infected Superion during the Hate Plague outbreak in 'The Return of Optimus Prime' pt 1. A Quintesson rescued by Skylynx restored him and the other injured Autobots in pt.2 but Bumblebee was the only one given a new body

Optimus decided to call him Goldbug after Bumblebee said that's what he resembled



For some reason he went back to being Bumblebee again by 'Rebirth' pt.3 (or it was an animation error)How did Transformers: G1's animated series' Bumblebee turn into Goldbug?In the first part to "The Return of Optimus Prime," Bumblebee, along with several other Autobots, was injured while trying to stop a Hate Plague-infected Superion. He was rebuilt into Goldbug in the second part following Optimus' resurrection, in order to help Optimus stop the plague.
