What happens in the movie -TRANSFORMERS : DARK OF THE MOON ?

Can you tell me about the movie? I cant go out to watch, so it will be nice to know about the movie. Anyway, I would love to know your personal rating of it.What happens in the movie -TRANSFORMERS : DARK OF THE MOON ?Basically what happens is:

Starts off with a war on the planet cybertron in which the planet gets destroyed, a ship from cybertron tries to escape carrying a cargo, the ship then gets shot down and crashes on the moon. Years later, nasa or someone pick up a signal or something from the moon, leading to the first space mission which man first landed on the moon. The space mission however was to find what it was that had landed on the moon, the space men (neil armstrong, buzz aldrin) bring back a cargo which is kept secret and that no-one knows about.

The autobots are still trying to rid the planet of remaining decepticons and find something in chernobyl, which the spacemen brought back from the ship. This leads the transformers to go to the moon and investigate the crashed ship. There optimus finds an old prime called sentinel, he brings him back to earth where he is rebooted, sentinel had possesion of some items called pillars which are join together to make a portal, like some sort of time travel device. Megatron has been forced into exile but plans to come back to take over the world again. There is a conspiracy, some men that were part of the moon landing are been hunted down and killed by a decepticon for some reason.

After a while sentinel prime admits he come to an agreement with megatron to bring back the destroyed planet of cybertron and betrays the autobots. He then meets up with megatron as they both want to bring cybertron back and restore it, by activating one of these pillars, he brings back a whole army of decepticons which travel top earth and enslave to population. They begin killing humans and say that the only way they will stop is if the autobots are sent off into space. This is agreed and when the autobots are launching off in a specially built rocket, a decepticon blows it up, leading you to believe that they are all dead. While the decepticons are enslaving mankind and attempt to bring cybertron into our world for the humans to rebuild, the autobots reappear and destroy the decepticons. Optimus and sentinel have a big show down and sentinel is about to dispose of optimus, but then megatron appears and fights sentinel, almost killing him. The reason for megatrons betrayal is that he believes he is under sentinels control, and knowing that he serves to no-one, rebels. As megatron is then about to destroy optimus, optimus comes out fighting and destroys megatron, then disposes of sentinel and saves humanity.



As much as you may think I have gone into details, I have only told you the basics of the story, you will definitely have to see it to get the full thing. Overall though it's a brilliant movie, much better than the second and hopefully a fitting end to the transformers trilogy. I'd give this movie an 8.5 out of 10, reason I won't go much higher is because i didn't seem to get too attached to the robots and the characters. Also the ending was not as I expected, no matter how good it was. But see this movie if you can!!
