Which specific product line did this Transformers jet came from?

Around 1995-1996, my late grandfather gave me a Transformers toy for Christmas. It's a black and purple jet. For some unknown reason, I lost it.



Now, upon doing some research, it appears to be the Decepticon Skywarp.



However, it appears that none of the Skywarp figures fall between 1995 - 1996. I'm not sure if it is the G1 Version (which was released in 1984-1985).



Or maybe, it's not really Skywarp...

I can only remember skywarp as a plane um....there are also a book on transformers, you might want to look at your local library or bookstore.
